Event Highlight

The National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) will host the Partners in Progress Summit and Annual Gala in Washington, DC, on May 14. The Summit will feature thought leaders from the government and industry and focus on issues regarding treatments for rare disorders. At the Annual Gala, NORD will also honor individuals and companies for their achievements toward helping patients with rare disorders. The Gala is NORD's primary fundraiser that helps support programs and services for patients and families with rare disorders.

Greater Share of Physicians Using Pharma Sites

According to Manhattan Research's latest Taking the Pulse® v9.0 study, the internet is becoming increasingly central to physicians' practice. In fact, 89% of physicians agreed that the internet is essential to their practice, and internet usage during and between patient consultations has increased since 2007. Additionally, the study demonstrated that despite an increase in online resources, a greater share of physicians are using pharma sites.
